Step through the sweeping gates of Comporta Court and you arrive at a serene sanctuary set deep within a pine‑framed estate on the soft Alentejo coast, just minutes from the iconic beaches of Carvalhal and Pego. An invitation to slow living beneath expansive Portuguese skies, where light, landscape and design coalesce in effortless harmony. This villa balances refined minimalism with relaxed coastal living - light floods the open-plan living spaces through floor-to-ceiling windows, highlighting natural timber, soft stone, and subtle textures that echo the surrounding landscape.
Outdoors, terraces and an infinity pool extend into the gardens of olive trees, Mediterranean shrubs, and aromatic herbs. Every corner invites lingering moments, whether it’s morning coffee in the sun, a swim in calm waters, or quiet evenings under the stars. Four en-suite bedrooms plus a private apartment offer privacy and comfort, while the central living pavilion brings family and friends together with panoramic views across the estate. Sports facilities, including tennis and volleyball courts, complement the tranquil setting without intruding.

Room Service
Location: Comporta, Alentejo.
Price: On request. Minimum stay of 7 nights in high season.
Sleeps: Ten people in four en-suite bedrooms plus a self-contained apartment. We love the deluxe master bedroom on the first floor which benefits from a large private terrace looking over the infinity swimming pool and has a spacious bathroom, with panoramic windows over the surrounding countryside.
Highlights: The minimalist design of the villa, it’s private sports amenities and the inviting infinity pool framed by olive trees. Within the grounds there is also Petanque, a volleyball court, a tennis court and table tennis for guests to enjoy.
Services: The house is self-catered, but housekeeping is provided and catering can also be arranged on request.

The Neighbourhood: The house sits beautifully within the 12 hectares of lush pine forest that surrounds it, located in rural Muda and within 10 minutes to Carvalhal and Pego beaches.
Things to know: Be aware too that Comporta is quite seasonal, so outside of the summer months, some restaurants close. That being said, October & Spring are our favourite times to visit without the crowds. As the house is next to the rice paddies, unlike the rest of the year, July – August is a critical time for mosquitoes in Comporta. Also, due to unprotected drops from some terraces and the infinity pool, glass French windows and low tables with hard corners, this property is not ideal for young children, must be supervised.
The Map
Comporta Court is located just outside of the village of Comporta, around an hour’s drive from Lisbon. Fly to Lisbon & rent a vintage jeep to fit in with the locals & take a road trip while finding some freedom while you’re there.
